HOMELESS 11/93
The Homeless material is made up of songs from 92 that
just didn't fit anywhere, and some new material I penned
in late 1993. Somehow the whole thing came together
and made a good fit. I had no band, so this period
was a bitch.

DESIGNER 2/94
Beginning with this album, I felt a strong urge to
begin playing again. I began to put together
a new band, named Powercock...meaning the king of the
pit, as in cock (rooster) fights. These songs represent
the first batch of tunes relying more on short phrasing
and melodic choruses. I had lost the lyrics to the
majority of these songs, but have since rewritten most
of them.

POWERCOCK: MORNING WOOD 3-6/94
I finally put together Powercock utilizing Sicilian
born Anthony Abbot and my old pal, percussion genius
Philbro. From the beginning this band was different
from any before, we could write new tunes at the drop
of the hat, and epitomized the simple-direct method
that the best rock songs are made of. Our hand full
of gigs were nothing short of great, but beginning
in mid-summer the other guys got involved in things
outside of music which put a severe cramp on PC.
Titty dancer though, is a classic.

I got the idea for this album while playing with Powercock,
and began writing the songs while in that first formation
of the band. Some great jams were lost in these songs.

I took my time with this album, just applying the songs
as they came naturally. I was working on a couple
of other albums too, so the concept for B&B had
to be in the song before it made it into this one.
The LP is a concept about relationships, getting screwed
over, and generally crap that goes on with life. To
the heart I must say!!!
