ROB STEELE in the tank

BYFIST Vocalist Rob Steele was pulled over Thursday
night by the San Antonio Police Department for a
routine check when it was discovered that there was an
outstanding warrant for his arrest for unpaid traffic
tickets. He was hauled off to jail and after meeting
with the judge was given 6 nights in jail to satisfy
his fines. Rob Steele had this to say " I tried to get
a hold of Davey or Nacho, but just my luck they were
nowhere to be found, so I made the best of it. When I
finally got a hold of Davey and Nacho they told me
they figured that is what happened but weren't sure
being that I went to the coast for some fun. Nacho did
say though "at least Rob didn't end up as Shark bait".

TORONTO - The 5th Annual Urban Music Awards of Canada
(UMAC) will be held at Toronto's Bluma Appel Theatre in the St.
Lawrence Centre For The Arts on Thursday, July 31, 2003 at 8pm.
The move to this larger, upscale venue is a testament to strength of
the organization's growth and the stealth of the domestic urban music
industry.

In addition to scoring a larger space, UMAC has enlisted the services
of veteran event planner Joan Pierre as awards chair for 2003.

"Five years is a major milestone" says UMAC President Tony Sutherland,
"the accomplishments of our urban artists from coast to coast and
around the world have gone off the map. Bringing our awards to the
St. Lawrence Centre proves that Canadian urban music is no longer
'below the radar.' "

Also joining UMAC festivities this year for hosting duties will be
Rogers Media mega journalist Rudy Blair, gospel entertainment
luminary Janice Findlay of Shine-TV and comic sensation Jean Paul,
who co-hosted the inaugural Urban Music Awards in 1999.

Canadian artists, producers and composers will take centre stage to
receive recognition for their outstanding contributions that are
fuelling Canada's growing urban musical legacy.

Online voting for the public and industry began on Thursday, June
12, 2003 in 26 categories. Key categories include Best Hip hop/Rap
single and album, Best R&B/Soul single and album, Best Media
Personality, Best Music Video and Best New Artist. UMAC will also
hand out Special Achievement and Lifetime Achievement Awards to
key industry players.

Voting closes at midnight on Monday, June 30, 2003 and will be
conducted electronically. Last year, more than 10,000 online votes
were cast in online voting. Nominees and performers will be
announced on July 14 at Irie Food Joint. Online voting has gone
live so please cast your ballot now at: www.umac.ca.

Founded in 1996, UMAC is dedicated to the promotion, education and
development of urban music in Canada.

THE CRAZY WORLD OF ARTHUR BROWN - South Parade Pier, Southsea,
England, Friday, July 11th.
Ex Led Zeppelin Robert Plant's 2002 tour featured a very impressive
support set from Arthur Brown, "The God Of Hellfire", who burst on the
scene with his hit single "Fire" back in 1968. Since then Arthur has
continued to be busy and has just finished a tour as guest vocalist
with Hawkwind. Friends and inhabitants of The Crazy World Of Arthur
Brown can see Arthur headlining his own concert at South Parade Pier,
Southsea, Hants, U.K. on Friday July 11th.
Arthur confirmed the concert on Saturday at The Isle Of Wight Festival
- 35 years after he caused a sensation at the first Isle Of Wight
Festival in 1968, appearing in flaming headgear!
This promises to be an evening of unhinged madness, and Arthur will
be supported by The Magick Cat, Kev Ellis' new psychedelic blues band,
which features Kev on wailing harmonica and vocals, Chris Hopgood on
lead guitar, Russ Brookes on drums & Ben Smith on bass guitar.

Friday 11th July, doors opening at 8.p.m. Tickets are £8.50, and will
be on sale from tomorrow at the usual outlets, Wedgewood Rooms Box

The Exotic Rock Underground is now run by Force Ten Productions and
work is steaming ahead on the final preparations for this year's NORTH
CORNWALL EXOTIC ROCK FEST on the 19th & 20th July. The festival is
