We are now composing new material and will work very hard to get into the
studio for late 2000. The new album will be recorded at Toybox studios where
famous bands like Hobbs angel of death have recorded
The forthcoming bleed oo5 Anatomy split Hellspawn has been delayed due to
funds and will be released in August 2000.
NOMENCLATURE DIABLERIE; the band that was formed when sadistik exekution
split in 1988 by drummer Sloth are so grave violated the band have decided
to reform and do a mlp for Bleed Records with co-operation from Death
records australia.They are planning to record all the old tracks that were
never surfaced , its going to be a cult killer for sure
the 888 7" ep is a classic no critic can touch !!!

URGRUND; the warlore 7"ep is totally sold out!! the band just finished up
in the studio recording 2 cover tracks one of WASP and one of BURZUM
a obscure mixture indeed! the band have a new drummer now and the previous
one has returned to his main band Astriaal.
after alot of label intrest looks like Urgrund will sign with the italian
End of life records. more news soon!!expect vinyl and the album of this
northern black death band very soon!
SITHLORD the newest release on Bleed records is out now a 30 minute duration
mcd so its great value ! they just played the farewell show with gospel of
the horns who headed to europe and it was a great night of the old school
black thrash. you could quite easily find alot of influences of this band
from the 80`s era of german label NOISE REC STEAMHAMMER REC eg Kreator

CROMWELL : Advent Of End (Self released, 44'15', 7 tracks, melodic death-metal)
: Cromwell from Spain born in 1991 and they released 3 demos before this first
full-length album. The musical progression between these years has been in a
more and more technical and melodic death-metal. In "Advent Of End",
their death-metal is very melodic, not brutal but sometimes aggressive with
black / death-vocals maybe in the Swedish death-metal style. A good first
effort, only the sound must be work in the future, for the compositions, they
are mature and technical. Continue in this way, the metal scene needs bands such

DESPOND : Beheaded And Sanctified, Live In St Denis (Haceldama Productions,
tape, 7 tracks, doom / death-metal) : Despond is born in 1995 from the ashes of
Perished. The same year, they recorded a first demo tape and they played many
shows with famous bands such Impaled Nazarene or In The Woods. In 1997, they
recorded one of their show with these bands and decided to release it in demo
tape. It isn't the first time the French band release a live demo tape 'cause
"Beheaded And Sanctified" has been released one year before, in 1996.
When we listen this demo tape, we are very surprised by the quality of the
sound, a great sound for this demo tape and this sound shows a good musical
technicality. Influenced by the old Tiamat when they mixed death and doom-metal
and some Septic Flesh touches, Despond from France shows many qualities. The
first quality is in France we haven't bands such Tiamat and it the first band
who play in this style, the second is the capacity of the band. When you listen
these 2 aspects in a demo, you obtain a great demo, as this live recorded in St
Denis. We are waiting the first album scheduled for 2001 but after many problems
in the line up, only Richard is in the band, we will see if he can do the same

LESSER KNOWN : Higher Levels (LKE Entertainment, 18'25', 4 tracks, metal) : This
American formed in 1991 and since this date, they released a self-titled Ep and
2 full albums. Influenced by the metal scene such Metallica, Black Sabbath or
Faith No More, their new release is composed by 4 new songs, which are heavier
and less "groove" than in the past. Not a copy of their influences,
they have their won music, it is very difficult to compare them, yes, we listen
some influences, but I repeat it isn't a copy of them. A good mini CD, they
search for a deal ; labels who search for good and original bands, don't
hesitate, they have a musical potential. (8,5/10)
LITHAM : Dhal Ennar (Red Stream, 38'54', 8 tracks, blakc-metal with death-metal
influences) : There are very few bands from the African scene, yes there is the
South Africa's scene (Groinchurn...) but without this scene, we won't have a lot
of bands. For the first time, I have listened an Algerian band who plays in
metal music, Litham. The first in Algeria who recorded a metal album and the
result is this first CD "Dhal Ennar". After many gigs in their own
country and in France, Litham recorded its first full CD and the result is an
original music mixing between black-metal for the vocals and some parts,
death-metal by the use of deeper vocals but also with the integration of some
Algerian influences. Doom, black or death-metal, Litham searches to combine a
lot of metal style and reach to this. A good first step, the metal isn't only in
Europe or in USA but in tons of others countries and all metal fans should
support this and not only the American or Scandinavian scene ! (9/10) ; e-mail :

MALIGNANT TUMOUR : Equality (Uxicon Records, EP, 7 tracks, death / grind) :
Malignant Turmour from the Czech scene is one of the well known grind band of
this country. Not the same statute than Krabathor, Malignant Turmour may be
considered like a great underground band from the Eastern Europe. Their first
demo was acclaimed by the specialised press and by the zines, after this effort,
the Belgian label Uxicon Records gave the opportunity to Malignant Tumour to
record an EP. The result is 7 songs of pure grindcore and brutal death-metal. A
better sound than in the past, a more important technicality and a full
maturity, this EP is a must for all the fans of grind and of the vinyl format.
Good !!! (8,5/10)
MANOS : Living Burial (Morbid Records, 33'23', 11 tracks, death-metal) : The
legendary death-metal band from the eastern part of Germany could become one of
the European masterpiece in this musical style. Remember the first effort
"At Mania Of Death" which presented all the Manos technicality. With
this new CD, they progress in their own style, with heavier influences and
approach but always with the Manos touches. The musical influences are more and
more varied 'cause like others German bands such Orth, they use original parts,
in tracks and songs such "Detracter" presenting an epic intro. An
excellent come back, we waited it, we have it. (9/10)
REBAELLIUN : Bringer Of War (Hammerheart Records, 16'13', 4 tracks, brutal
death-metal) : When I listened the first Rebaelliun's CD "Burn The Promised
Land", I was surprised by this CD, what death-metal ! After this acclaimed
album and a lot of gigs (Vader...), the band from Brazil is back with a new mini
CD, always in their own true brutal death-metal, not progression in comparison
with the first CD but it isn't the aim. 3 new songs and a cover song of Morbid
Angel's "Day Of Suffering", with a perfect production, with Krisiun,
Rebaelliun is the best Brazilian death-metal band. You missed the first album,
buy this mini CD and if you have the first CD, you can't miss this new release.

REDOX : Forgotten Nature (Voliac Rock Productions, 50'05', 10 tracks,
heavy-metal with speed-metal touches) : Redox formed in 1990 by 4 guys and
decided to show their heavy / speed-metal technicality. After 2 demos and a
participation to a tribute to Iron Maiden, the Spanish band releases its first
length CD. The result is a heavy-metal music inspired by the speed-metal scene,
maybe in way near of Metallica on albums such "Master Of Puppets" or
"And Justice For All". Good solos, the compositions are also good,
only the sound isn't very excellent but the technicality of the Redox's members
enables to forget this aspect. The fans of old Metallica will appreciate, for
the others, it is just a good heavy-metal band.
SEPSISM : Purulent Decomposition (Repulse Records, 39'03', 12 tracks, brutal
death-metal) : Since the beginning of the band, Sepsism from USA grew its
popularity in the US scene with cult demos and participation to compilations.
First full CD and first excellent contract with the Spanish label Repulse and
immediately Sepsism become a revelation. In a musical style influenced by the
brutal US death-metal scene, we feel influences such Deeds Of Flesh,
Incantation, Terrorizer or Morbid Angel. The songs are really great sometimes
heavier and others times more brutal, Sepsism finds its gratitude with this
first release. A must ! (9,5/10)
THE EUGENICS COUNCIL : / (Self released, 68'09', 28 tracks, strange music) :
What strange and bizarre music for this American project. When I say strange, it
is really strange. A music based and only based on samples with a distortion
about the sound. Screams, distortion but not industrial 'cause there aren't
instruments such drums or guitars, no only samples by computer I think. A
strange album very morbid, we like or dislike but you won't be uninterested by

THY SERPENT : Death (Spinefarm Records, 22'27', 4 tracks, Finnish dark-metal,
release date : 17/07/2000) : The cult Finnish band is back ; 2 years after the
acclaimed "Christcrusher", Thy Serpent presents a new line up with 2
new members along the old members Sami and Azhemin. 4 new songs for this new
mini CD, showing a musical evolution, not an evolution in the music but with
deeper and heavier vocals. Some black-metal vocals are also here but Azhemin and
the rest of the band diversify this with the use of deeper vocals. For the
music, it is always their own way, a true and melodic dark-metal as they created
in the beginning of the band, maybe heavier and more melodic with this new
production than in their past. Thy Serpent was one of the creator of the Finnish
sound and they are always at the top of this scene, 4 songs but excellent songs
! My opinion : one of the 3 best bands in the world ! (10/10)
TRISTITIA : The Last Grief (Holy Records, 48'24', 12 tracks, heavy / doom) :
"Crucidiction" the last Tristitia's album gave the cult position to
the Swedish band, the darkest Swedish doom-metal band just after Candlemass. 3
years after this masterpiece, we thought the band have disappeared 'cause they
known many problems with the line up but the Luis band is back. 3 years of hard
work, 3 years of compositions and Tristitia presents its new masterpiece. They
play always their traditional music, doom-metal influenced by Candlemass with
more Back Sabbath's touches. A sound heavier than the previous CD
"Crucidiction", deeper and heavier compositions with aggressive
touches, this new release is the best Tristitia's album. A great come back, we
hoped a good release for their come back but they release a cult masterpiece,
level with Candlemass. (9,5/10)

internet radio show in RealAudio format. We are dedicated solely to
independent rock artists and bands. Approximately once a month we
put together a 30 minute show featuring the best of the submissions
with accompanying reviews and information about the artists which you
can read as you listen to the show.
So you want to submit your music to our little show/'zine.

We feature everything from 4-track home recordings to full-on
studio productions. Our only two rules are:
