Through this newsletter we intend to bring you news and information
about what plots and operations are brewing within Supernal Music's
trenches. This newsletter is sent to magazines, fanzines, webzines,
and distributors, as well as to our mail order customers.
If you have never heard from us before, we are a small, underground
record label based in England. We have albums by FLEURETY,
DEINONYCHUS, THE MEADS OF ASPHODEL, and HATE FOREST to our credit.
We also have an excellent mail order service and online store, with
thousands of products at cheap prices (usually £9.99 / $14 / E16),
available worldwide.

HATE FOREST
HATE FOREST's third album, "Purity", was recorded and mixed earlier
this year, and it will be released through Supernal Music in 2003, to
allow time for their second album, "The Gates", to be sold.

THE MEADS OF ASPHODEL
The split 10" picture discs with MAYHEM surprised us with getting
"single of the week" in Kerrang! Unfortunately, it took long for the
review to be published and by the time it was the picture discs were
sold out here, save for a few. Moreover, but fortunately in this case,
our retail distributor delayed putting them in the shops out of fear
for their lives, so if you didn't get a copy of this limited item
(666 copies), the last copies that remain should be in the
shops by now.
We have decided to cancel the "Anal Mary" t-shirts we announced
earlier. Originally we wanted to protest against the cheap tactics
that are used by commercial bands these days to cash in on their
merchandise: so we designed something so extreme that our enemies
wouldn't be able to surpass - and, indeed, when they saw the proposed
design even the band said they wouldn't wear it. But, alas, we became
skeptical of this tactic, for, on reflection, it became clear
that our rationale would have been interpreted as simply making excuses
to justify cashing in with vulgar shock tactics. Everybody does it, so
there would have been no reason to think differently in this case. And
that is just not our style. So we will do something else now and those
who are upset will just have to lump it.
There have also been changes within the band itself, who have issued the
following statement:
Contrary to any news you may receive concerning the Mead's of Asphodel
here is an official statement from the band. Metatron [vocalist] and
Urakbarameel [Drums] have parted company with Jaldaboath [guitars/
synth] who has been replaced with new members Azrael and Deorth.
The second album 'Exhuming the grave of Yeshua' will be recorded in
February and will feature the following guests: Mirai
[Sigh], Vincent Crowley [Acheron], Huw Lloyd Langton [Hawkwind], Paul
C. [Thus Defiled] and various other musicians.

DEINONYCHUS
After being out of print for 3 years, the 1997 album, "Ark of Thought",
was re-issued in September. The new version comes with greatly improved
artwork and it is well worth your attention, as it marked a giant step
forward for this utterly negative entity at the time.

DRUDKH
Supernal Music has a new addition to its roster, this time another
Ukrainian band, containing men from HATE FOREST. A full-length album has
already been recorded, and it will be released after HATE FOREST's "Purity".
The style is not like the latter band, but to our ears it sounds rather like
BURZUM circa "Hvis Lyset Tar Oss", minus the keyboards: long, abstract songs,
harsh guitar sound, introspective atmospheres.

FLEURETY
We are currently working on the second edition of 2000's "Department of
Apocalyptic Affairs", which will have completely new artwork. A release date
for this one will be announced later.

BEWITCHED
Apart from receiving yet more royalties to blow on horse races, dice, and
rum, not much to report except that work on editing all the demo material,
the tracks from the split mlp they did, the bonus tracks, and the video
that will appear in the definitive edition of "Hibernum in Perpetuum"
will begin soon.

DAWNFALL
At long last, after many years, "Drei Räume" is to see the light of day.
In September we visited the site for the photoshoot (a XIX Century
mansion in Southern France) and photographed its uninhabited sections,
which are derelict. This is what was needed in order to create the
nightmarish ambience of this horrid work of musical deformity, according
to the concept as was explained to us by the band. The cds are being
pressed as you read this, so the stock will be in our dungeon in the next
few days.

Recorded many years ago, this is the long-vaulted successor to the infamous
"Dominance of Darkness" debut. Weird, nightmarish, disfigured, you will most
likely be repelled at first by what these Germans recorded, walking the thin
dividing line betten torture and demented genius. Yet this is a clever work,
necro and avant garde at the same time, and unusual in every respect.

Request for promotional material

We are machinegunned with requests for promos on a daily basis.
If we were to send to everyone, we would probably end up
sending out more promos than the number of cds we press.
Moreover, we don't feel compelled to become a commercial label
filled with rockstars and frankly we don've have problems selling
our releases. Therefore, there ought to be a limit. We do not
send promos to radio stations or to club DJs: a play list is no
proof that there is an actual radio show behind it, and besides,
unless you are John Peel of the BBC, we have no way of
independently verifying whether the "radio show" has an audience
besides empty air and good intentions. Requests for promos to
magazines / fanzines /webzines will be decided on the basis of
merit (i.e., quality, orientation, continuity, and how much
effort has gone into the publication). Due to bootlegging activity
and other rip-offs, we don't send promos to Russia, Israel,
Indonesia, Egypt, or South America; no amount of begging and
assurances will change our made-up minds.

Advertising
------------------------------------
Begging for advertisement is futile: we don't believe anything
advertising executives tell us as a rule. If we decide to
advertise, we will get in touch. Cold callers from ad sales
personnel will have the receiver slammed down without a word.
Emails will be ignored and deleted. Faxes will be shredded
without a glance.

Leviathan Records Press Release
JOE STUMP'S REIGN OF TERROR's new Cd "Conquer and Divide," featuring
vocalist Michael Vescera, will be released by Leviathan Records in
the US on November 18th. The Cd was recorded and produced by Vescera
at MVP Studios in Connecticut. This recording is their follow up to
the very successful "Sacred Ground" Cd. Once again providing the bass
and drums are Jay Rigney and Matt Scurfield (both from Event). Joining
the band on keyboards, as a special guest, is Mats Olausson. Joe
guarantees the release will be "heavier and more aggressive" than the
previous Reign of Terror Cds. Marquee/Avalon in Japan, Rock Brigade in
Brazil, OZ/Scarecrow in Mexico and Lion Music in Europe will also
release the Cd in the near future. Other licensing partners will be

FIREWIND, fronted by guitarist Gus G and vocalist Stephen Fredrick,
debut Cd "Between Heaven and Hell," has been generating massive press
and sales worldwide. The Cd has been released on Toshiba/EMI in Japan,
Massacre in Europe, Leviathan Records in the US, Rock Brigade in South
America, Rock Empire in Taiwan and OZ/Scarecrow in Mexico. The Cd was
mixed in Sweden by Fredrik Nordstrom, (In Flames, Hammerfall, etc.).
The Cd was produced by David T. Chastain. Other band members include
Brian Harris (Zanister, Vainglory, Kenziner, My Own Victim) on drums
and Konstantine (IT) on bass. The renowned Rainer Kalwitz created the
cover art in most territories. FIREWIND is proving to be one of the

CHASTAIN, the band, are in the final stages of recording their first
Cd since the amazing 1997 "In Dementia." This will be the band's 8th
release. Joining vocalist Kate French and guitarist David T. are
original Vicious Rumors members drummer Larry Howe and bassist Dave
Starr. Track titles include:
New Beginnings, Souls the Sun, Hamunaptra, Bullet from a Gun,
Tortured Love, Malicious Pigs, Rule the World, Lucky to be Alive,
Women are Wicked, and In an Outrage
The band hopes to have the Cd out in the first part of 2003.
In related news the CHASTAIN classic track "Angel of Mercy" from the
Cd "Ruler of the Wasteland" is on the new HAMMERFALL Cd "Crimson
Thunder." David states, "Hammerfall is one of my favorite bands and I
was both honored and thrilled to have the band cut the track. I just
heard their version the other day and they did an incredible job!"
VAINGLORY are also in the studio working on their follow up to "2050."
Band leader/guitarist Corbin King says "The new release will take the
band far beyond our first Cd in regards to power and passion." No firm
release date has been set on this new Cd but an early 2003 release is
most likely.
SOUTHERN GENTLEMEN have finished up recording their newest Cd to follow
up the hot as hell 2000 release "Exotic Dancer Blues." That Cd received
major critical success all around the globe. The tentative title of the
new Cd has been changed to "Double Your Pleasure." David T. says "I had
a complete other album's worth of material ready to go under the title
"Ladies of the Night." However while I was recording a Cd for my more
blues based band, the Georgia Blues Dawgs, I realized that the material
actually fit more with the SOUTHERN GENTLEMEN vibe. So we just decided
to heavy it up a little a bit and it was ready to rock!" Track listing
includes;
Down On My Knees, My Best Friend's Girl, Not Worth My Grave, Slutovirgin,
Tell Me Woman, Love Affair Gone Bad, I Languish For You, Racing Back To
Mississippi, You Should Be Ashamed, and I Believe In Love

OVERCOME in FRANCE
NOSTROMO 'Ecce Lex' : just a matter of days...
Ok, it should have been out on the 7th of October, if you've been in
touch with this matter you should already know that we met problems
with the digipak's printing process. If all goes well (now we never
know), this little bomb shoud be released by the week starting with
the 11th of november (at last !).
NOSTROMO : French tour
The french tour is going on and rather well. More and more people
from various musical horizons seem to enjoy the band's music, one
more evidence that the cleavages occuring between the different
styles in extreme musics tend to vanish. Just in order to show-off
a little bit, please note that Nostromo will be playing two crazy
shows in the middle of november : one in company with Motorhead
(Lignon festival/ Switzerland/ 14th of nov.) and the day after with
Merzbow and Shora in Rennes (France), for the record-release party
of Ecce Lex (see below) !

MERZBOW - SHORA : Live Meeting
Masami Akita aka Merzbow will honour us by coming from Japan for
two exclusive shows in France in company with Shora ! The two
actors of the Switching rethorics Split CD released last year on
Bisect Bleep will be in Poitiers (Confort Moderne) on the 14th of
november and the day after in Rennes (Ubu), for the record-release
party of the new full-length from Nostromo. Is it useful to mention
that in addition to their respective performances, Merzbow and Shora
are preparing a scheming mutual show that every extreme musics addict
will manage to attend....
MILLIGRAM : no news, bad news...
Jonah Jenkins lovers, maybe you should not read these lines, for
Milligram has just splitted up. Nothing else to tell about that,
except that their second album, This Is Class War, is already
recorded and just needs a label to welcome it...
INSIDE CONFLICT : Still on the tracks
The band goes on playing shows in France as support of the
Complementary Visions Of Sickness Split CD released last summer
on Plainfield Records. This Split CD gathers a few brutal
masterpieces, with Inside Conflict at its best. Massive yet
dense sound, cutting and finely built songs, one Suicidal
Tendencies cover (War Inside My Head)... All this resulting in
five tracks part of the best ones the band has ever recorded.
BURN HOLLYWOOD BURN : Road Trip
Loyal to its motivation of invading France, the band can't stop
rocking all over the country. A 3,5" CD should also see the day
in the beginning of next year on Exutoire Records (France).
DRAGBODY : Alive and Kicking !
It's been awhile since we got some news from this devastating combo
from Florida, well now it's done : the band just released a Split
LP with Crucible (including an ex-Assuck guitarist) on No Idea
(USA). The item comes with a pretty artwork and is limited to 1100
